I refuse to use anything that doesn't provide a live timer. I'm awful at keeping track of time myself. Constantly forget to write things down, and I find it to be a pain. I like hitting a button, and know a bunch of people who do, too.

Having a stop/start button for time tracking is practically a necessity. "Forgetting to hit stop" is no less stupid or hard to correct than "forgetting to write down when you started or stopped" so it's a poor argument.
